Jason Statham

Jason Statham

Fitness Regime:

Jason Statham was once a member of the British Olympic diving team and enjoys being active. When he noticed himself getting a bit chubby he really buckled down and lost 17 pounds in 6 weeks by working out 6 days per week, but usually for no more than 35 minutes at a time. In his workouts he shoots for high intensity and practical strength building. He uses martial arts, pylometrics, and jumping rope to sculpt his body with emphasis on explosive moves. His workouts are quick and require minimal equipment.

Statham doesn’t believe in personal trainers – in his mind, to be successful one must motivate oneself.

Statham does his training at a stunt studio during the weekdays and goes for hour-long runs on Saturdays, leaving only Sunday for a break. His workouts follow two basic rules: never repeat a workout, and record everything you do so you can track your progress.

The workout itself consists of three stages:
1. A 10-minute cardio warmup (he uses a rowing machine)
2. 10 minutes of “medium” intensity using weights, kettlebells, or medicine balls
3. An interval circuit consisting of six high-intensity exercises (different for each workout)

For specific exercises check out the Men’s Health Article
