Fitness Regime: In order to look like his comic book super hero character Tom did weight training 4 days per week and 2 hours per day of firearm, martial arts, and knife training with military and law enforcement consultants.

Diet Regime: While preparing for “The Punisher” Tom ate 2,000 to 2,500 calories per day over the course of eight small meals. For the first 2 weeks he was careful to get only 10% of his calories from fat. After that he upped the percentage to 30 in order to prevent loss of muscle. After six more weeks he dropped back to 10% for 2 weeks and continued the cycle. His diet included many protein and complex carb drinks, fish, vegetables, bananas, and water.
