Fitness Regime: To train for “X-Men,” Hugh Jackman took on a heavy workout of bench-presses, barbell lunges, squats, leg presses, and other exercises. Workouts typically lasted 60 to 90 minutes. He kept his muscles guessing by changing the routine every three weeks. He would work with heavy weights and rest between sets for three weeks, then switch to lighter weights and slower movements, and then transition to explosive lifting. He also practiced yoga daily for a year in order to be able to hold the lotus position underwater for the film.
